Tipton, or Lord Ward's Tunnel is part of the complex of tunnels that often get lumped together under the Dudley Tunnel title. However it is really a separate, older entity. This is the Tipton portal at the northern end. (179 metres) 6th August 1997. |

Yet another part of Dudley Tunnels complex is Wrens Nest Tunnel which diverges from the main tunnel at Castle Mill Basin and once led to underground mine workings. 5th August 2006. |
The eastern portal of Deansgate or Gaythorn Tunnel on the Rochdale Canal. (71 metres). The tunnel was rebuilt in 1902 by the Manchester Corporation after which it ceased to be a tunnel in the true sense, but it retains the name to this day. 3rd June 2009. |

Fenny Compton tunnel on the Oxford Canal was actually two sepatare tunnels with a short, open section in between. Both tunnels were opened out over 100 years ago but this length of canal is still known as "The Tunnel". (307 metres + 413 metres) |
